What to Expect on a Sunday Morning
Wyoming United Methodist Church is a small, hometown church with big hearts and smiles. You’ll find good coffee and conversation during our fellowship time beginning at 9:30 a.m. Nursery is available for your little ones. Children are a special part of our Worship service as we first share “God Sightings” for the week, sing, pray and have the children up front for a short message. Then the kids go as a group to Sunday School.
You’ll notice enthusiastic and sincere participation by members of the congregation as they serve God in song, in readings, in prayer, and various other ways during the Worship Service. The hour comes to a close with a brief sermon, relevant to your life. We present the Bible in a way that is easy to understand, even if you’ve never been to church. And if you’re a long-time Christ follower, you’ll find our practical messages invaluable to your spiritual and personal growth.
Hang around after the service to meet new people and make new friends. Our goal is to help you connect with the grace and mercy of God, and all He has to offer all of us. We want you to leave each Service feeling encouraged and inspired to live life to the fullest.
Holy Communion is offered at the 10 am worship service on the first Sunday of each month.
What should I wear?
Wear what makes you feel comfortable! You’ll see everything from jeans and casual wear to suits and dresses. Come as you are.
Do you expect me to give money?
Not at all! Giving back to God a portion of what we have earned is one part of Worship, but not something expected of our guests. The offering is for those who are part of our Wyoming United Methodist Church family, our regular attenders and members. Instead of giving something – we want you to GET something from your encounter with God and His people here at WUMC.
All activities are open to everyone; you do not have to be a member of Wyoming United Methodist church to participate.
